These Terms and Conditions govern all car rental agreements between DIN AUTO AS ("the Company") and the renter ("the Customer"). By submitting a reservation request, the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Reservation Process
Submitting a reservation form on our website constitutes a reservation request only. The booking is not confirmed until DIN AUTO AS contacts the Customer by email or phone to confirm availability and finalise the agreement.
The Customer will receive a booking reference number upon submission. This reference does not constitute a binding contract until confirmed by DIN AUTO AS.
DIN AUTO AS reserves the right to decline a reservation request at its discretion, in which case no charges will be made.
3. Driver Requirements
- •Minimum age: The primary driver must be at least 21 years of age. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.
- •Valid driver's licence: The primary driver must present a valid driver's licence at the time of vehicle pickup. The licence must have been held for at least 1 year.
- •Valid ID: A valid passport or national identity card must be presented at pickup.
- •Additional drivers: Any additional driver must meet the same requirements and must be registered as an extra driver (add-on fee applies).
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Norwegian Krone (NOK) and include VAT where applicable. The rental price consists of the daily rate for the selected vehicle plus any optional add-ons selected.
Long-term rental discounts (applied to car price only):
Discounts apply to the base car rental price only and do not apply to add-ons.
Payment is due at the time of vehicle pickup at our premises. We accept cash and major debit/credit cards. Payment in advance may be arranged by agreement.
5. Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are free of charge.
Late cancellation
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's rental.
No-show
If the Customer fails to appear at the agreed pickup time without prior notice, DIN AUTO AS reserves the right to charge a no-show fee.

6. Vehicle Pickup and Return
Location: All vehicles are picked up and returned at Munkebekken 400, 1061 Oslo, Norway, during our opening hours.
Fuel policy: Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The Customer must return the vehicle with the same fuel level. Failure to do so will result in a refuelling charge at commercial rates plus a service fee.
Late return: The Customer must return the vehicle by the agreed return date and time. Late returns will be charged at the standard daily rate pro-rated per hour, unless an extension has been agreed in advance.
Vehicle condition: The Customer must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear. The Customer is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft occurring during the rental period.
7. Renter Responsibilities
- •Traffic fines and tolls: The Customer is solely responsible for all traffic fines, parking penalties, road tolls, and congestion charges incurred during the rental period.
- •Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rental vehicles. A cleaning fee will be charged if this policy is violated.
- •Geographic restrictions: Vehicles may be driven within Norway and the European Economic Area (EEA) unless otherwise agreed in writing with DIN AUTO AS prior to rental. Driving outside the EEA is not permitted without prior written consent.
- •Authorised drivers: Only the registered driver(s) named in the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.
- •Accidents: In the event of an accident, the Customer must notify DIN AUTO AS immediately and file a police report where required by law.
8. Insurance and Liability
Standard insurance: All rental vehicles are covered by standard third-party liability insurance as required by Norwegian law. This is included in the rental price.
Deductible: In the event of damage to the rental vehicle, the Customer is liable for a deductible (egenandel) as specified in the rental agreement at the time of pickup.
Full insurance (zero deductible): The Customer may purchase full insurance cover as an optional add-on, which reduces the deductible to zero. This add-on must be selected at the time of reservation.
Exclusions: Insurance does not cover damage caused by reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
9. Company Rights
DIN AUTO AS reserves the right to refuse a rental if the Customer does not meet the driver requirements, cannot present the required documents, or if DIN AUTO AS has reasonable grounds to believe the vehicle may be misused.
DIN AUTO AS may cancel a confirmed reservation due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, vehicle damage beyond repair, or other circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control. In such cases, the Customer will be notified as soon as possible and any payments made will be refunded in full.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the agreed venue.
Consumers may also contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) or the Consumer Disputes Commission (Forbrukerklageutvalget) for alternative dispute resolution.
11. Changes to These Terms
DIN AUTO AS reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on this website at the time of your reservation will apply to your rental agreement. We recommend reviewing these terms before each reservation.
